Creativity Rocks! 2019

On Saturday, March 30, 2019, the Creativity Shell will host our 4th annual Gala/Student Fashion Show, Creativity Rocks (the theme this year is “The Orient Express”) at the Humble Civic Center. This fashion show will consist of clothing exclusively designed, made and worn by 150+ students who are currently enrolled in our sewing/textile arts and other design programs across Houston.

Creativity Rocks! 2018

On Saturday, April 7, 2018, the Creativity Shell will host our annual gala/fashion show (Creativity Rocks! “Atlantis – The Lost City”) at the Humble Civic Center. This fashion show will consist of clothing exclusively designed, made and worn by 100+ students who are currently enrolled in our sewing/textile arts programs across Houston. Creativity Rocks will also feature e-textile garments that are made (and programmed) by our STEAM focused engineering students at Young Women’s College Preparatory Academy as well as clothing made in honor of homeless youth and girls rescued from human trafficking who also receive classes from the Creativity Shell.

Creativity Rocks! 2017

On Saturday, April 29, 2017, the Creativity Shell will host our annual gala/fashion show (Creativity Rocks! “Welcome to the Jungle”) at the historic Julia Ideson Library. This fashion show will consist of clothing exclusively designed, made and worn by 100+ students who are currently enrolled in our sewing/textile arts programs across Houston. Creativity Rocks will also feature e-textile garments that are made (and programmed) by our STEAM focused engineering students at Young Women’s College Preparatory Academy as well as clothing made by homeless youth and girls rescued from human trafficking who are also enrolled in our programs.

Funds raised from Creativity Rocks will be used to expand the Creativity Shell sewing/textile arts programs in Houston schools, public libraries and shelters that rescue children from homelessness and human trafficking.

Creativity Rocks! 2016

On Saturday, May 14, 2016, the Creativity Shell will host our annual fashion show (Creativity Rocks!) at the Children’s Museum of Houston. This fashion show will consist of clothing exclusively designed and made by 65+ students who are currently enrolled in our sewing/textile arts programs in Houston. Creativity Rocks will also feature computerized coded garments made by our STEM focused engineering students at Young Women’s College Preparatory Academy as well as custom dyed scarves made by girls rescued from trafficking.
